We Need Your Help! Annie’s House by Sustaining Way is based in an under-served community in Greenville, SC and is being used as an education center to provide a vision to the surrounding community of how sustainable practices can provide for our basic needs.
Recently, we were able to pull together funding through a small grant, individual donations and a Duke Energy rebate to install solar to make the site net zero (produce all energy needs onsite). However, just a month before installation, we found out that Duke Energy had retroactively phased out the rebate program effective November of 2016 (we applied mid-November). As a result, we have a contract signed and need your help to pay off the remaining amount owed.
Our grant funding is time constrained so we must raise the funding by the deadline! This is a transformational project for us. Not only eliminating our energy bills but also serving as a key educational tool for our adult and youth programs.
Please give generously so we can reach our goal by April 28! Oh, and the highest donor will have the opportunity to energize the system at Annie’s House to officially make us Net Zero!! All donors will be invited to our Annie’s House Net Zero Celebration!!
