Healthy Home Visit (HHV) Program – Jobs

Overview

In response to Hurricane Helene, Sustaining Way is launching the Healthy Home Visit Program. We aim to use this program to address the water and flood damage left behind in the communities we serve. We will help remediate microbial hazards, educate residents, and promote healthy living environments. Overall, this program represents a chance to restore safety and hope, ensuring no family is left behind in building a healthier, more resilient future. This project was supported by a grant from the One SC Fund housed at Central Carolina Community Foundation.

Program Process

  • Train and certify workforce development participants in microbial remediation and storm restoration through  IAQA -approved courses.
  • Conduct in-home assessments and remediation to address hurricane-related damages.
  • Equip a local workforce with the skills and tools needed to support long-term disaster recovery efforts.
  • Restore safe and healthy living environments for vulnerable populations impacted by Hurricane Helene.
